The price of Brent crude oil rose above $85 per barrel, Report informs referring to trading data.
The price of September Brent crude oil futures reached $85.41 per barrel.
The price of Brent crude oil subsequently fell to $84.54, representing a 1.49% increase from the previous close. August WTI crude oil futures rose 8% to $77.11 per barrel.
The price rise occurred amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
