11 small hydropower plants will be restored in Karabakh

By the end of this year, 11 small hydropower plants will be restored in Karabakh, Deputy Minister of Energy Elnur Soltanov said at an event on the "Green transformation in Azerbaijan: Sustainable Development Goals."
The deputy minister said that currently, 4 out of 11 small hydropower plants had been restored based on the project:
"It is planned to restore 11 stations of 54 megawatts by the end of the year. Together with the Ministry of Economy, we will continue work towards attracting private investments to restore other stations."
Soltanov said that green sources would be used to obtain the energy consumed in the liberated territories, and the use of natural gas would be limited.
