BP spends $1.5M on social projects in Azerbaijan

BP and its partners in the joint ventures it operates invested approximately $0.6 million in social investment programs in Azerbaijan during the first half of 2026, according to BP Azerbaijan's business report.
The amount was $0.1 million, or 14.3%, lower than in the same period of 2025.
The projects implemented during the first six months of the year included 19 ongoing education programs, two initiatives aimed at developing local capacity and strengthening entrepreneurship, and two environmental projects.
Separately, BP invested approximately $0.9 million in projects it sponsored directly in Azerbaijan during the first half of the year.
This represented an increase of $0.5 million, or 2.25 times, compared with the same period in 2025.
The company's sponsorship portfolio included 34 projects, comprising 19 education initiatives, one project supporting local skills development and entrepreneurship, five projects promoting Azerbaijan's cultural heritage and sports, one environmental initiative, and support for eight conferences and seminars covering various topics.
