BP regional president: Work on Shah Deniz Compression project is 30% complete

BP has completed 30% of the work on the Shah Deniz Compression project, BP"s Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye, Gio Cristofoli, told journalists on the sidelines of Baku Energy Week.
According to Report, he said the project is being implemented on schedule, and the commissioning of the compression facility is planned for 2029.
"This project will give Shah Deniz a second life and allow the field"s production potential to be sustained for a longer period. The company is also continuing a large-scale drilling program at the field," Cristofoli said.
The cost of the Shah Deniz Compression project is $2.9 billion.
