Biden's stance jeopardizes lucrative LNG deal with Ukraine

US President Joe Biden's decision to pause the approval of new contracts for the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) poses challenges for Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) said, Report informs.
Ukraine last week struck a major deal with a US liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplier to help wean Eastern Europe off Russian natural gas.
“The bad news: Standing in the way of the deal’s success is President Biden,” WSJ said.
The American President has paused the issuance of permits for new LNG export projects due to green agenda.
