Azerishig installs 45 charging stations to expand use of electric vehicles

One of the most successful projects implemented by Azerishig OJSC in recent years is the promotion of environmentally friendly electric vehicles, Araz Mammadzada, Director of the Training and Innovation Center of Azerishig OJSC, told a press conference held in Azerbaijan’s Zangilan, Report informs.

According to Mammadzada, significant steps have been taken in this area over the past year, especially during the COP29 climate conference held in the country on November 11-22, 2023.

"Electric charging stations (ECS) supported by green energy have been installed and provided with sustainable electricity in the capital, regions, as well as in liberated Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur. Currently, 22 ECS are operating in Baku and surrounding areas, 7 in liberated territories, and 15 in other regions," said Mammadzada.

He added that the installation of a 60 kW ECS station on the road to Gusar city and Shahdag Mountain Resort has been completed, and the software integration process is currently being implemented.

"The work done aims not only to expand the use of electric vehicles but also to contribute to the development of alternative energy sources," he emphasized.
