Azerenergy's electricity exports soar more than two fold

In August 2019, production and export of electricity increased significantly compared to the same period of last year, Head of the media centre and public relations department of Azenergy Teymur Abdullayev told Report.

Abdullayev said 2.14 billion kWh electricity was produced last month, which is 200 million kWh or 10.5% more than in August 2018. In August 2018, Azerbaijan exported 72.2 million kWh of electricity, while 166.3 million kWh was exported in August 2019. This is an increase of 94.1 million kWh or more than twice.

Of the 166.3 million kWh, 158.8 million kWh was exported to Georgia.
