Azerbaijan quadruples wind power

Baku. 17 November. REPORT.AZ/ In January-October 2018, production in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply amounted to AZN 1,570,700,000, up 5.7% from previous year, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee.

Production in the sector of water supply, waste treatment and processing grew by 3.3% to AZN 262.7 million.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan produced 19,023,000,000 kWh of electricity, up 1.4% in comparison to a year earlier.

In the structure of the electricity, water energy production rose by 0.1% to 1,528.4 kWh, heating power increased by 1.4% to 16,688.4 kWh, wind power quadrupled to 42.5 kWh, and solar power declined by 2% to 35.2 kWh.
