Azerbaijan in forefront of energy security, US Ambassador says

Over the years, Azerbaijan, together with its commercial and strategic partners, has built resilient energy infrastructure, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger said during a speech at ADA University within the Regional Energy Security Symposium, Report informs.

The ambassador congratulated SOCAR and BP on completing the construction of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC), noting that the project will support European energy security for decades to come.

“The Southern Gas Corridor places Azerbaijan and SOCAR in the forefront of energy security for many of our allies and partners,” he stressed.

“I want to reaffirm US support for the Southern Gas Corridor and Azerbaijan’s efforts to expand deliveries into new European markets,” the ambassador added.
