Today President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf met with First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Romeo Mikautadze, the parties discussed cooperation between the two countries in all areas, including the energy sector, Report informs via SOCAR.
At the meeting, it was said that the strategic projects of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, the Southern Gas Corridor, implemented with the joint participation of the countries, made an important contribution to the energy security of Europe and strengthened the economic development of the region.
The officials noted that the "Agreement on Strategic Partnership in the field of development and transmission of green energy between the governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary" opens up new opportunities for cooperation.
