Ana Birchall: Energy co-op with Azerbaijan - one of key partnership areas

Energy cooperation between the EU countries and Azerbaijan is one of the key areas of partnership, former Deputy Prime Minister of Romania Ana Birchall said during an international event on "Reconstruction, reconciliation and integration: Energy, economy, environment and capital" in Azerbaijan's Shusha, Report informs.

Thanks to Azerbaijan's assistance, led by President Ilham Aliyev, last winter, Europe remained secure in terms of gas supplies, she said.

She also stressed the importance of today's event taking place in the cultural capital - the city of Shusha.

She expressed confidence that President Ilham Aliyev will make sure that not only Shusha, but the entire Karabakh region will become an example to follow.
