Amount of investments to be made in oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan in next years announced

In the next mid-term period, $75 billion will be invested in Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry and oil production will reach 105 million tonnes by 2025, Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev said at an event on  the120th anniversary of Kazakh oil, Report informs citing Kazakh media.

According to him, $6 billion has been invested in supply of refineries with modern technologies.

He said the oil production in the eight months of 2019 was 59.8 million tonnes, of which 36 million tonnes were produced from three main fields – Kashagan, Tengiz and Karachaganak.

The minister noted that 11.2 million tonnes of oil were refined in the reporting period. Gasoline production increased by 14.3%, diesel – by 9.6% and aircraft fuel – by 212%.
