Seismological Center: 3,346 earthquakes have been recorded in Azerbaijan this year

Baku. 4 December. REPORT.AZ/ About 7,000 earthquakes have been recorded this year through 35 seismic energy stations in Azerbaijan.

Report informs citing the annual report of the Republican Seismological Service Center at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

About 4,000 of them are earthquakes recorded in Azerbaijan and adjacent territories, while nearly 3,000 are remote earthquakes. 3,346 earthquakes were recorded in the territory of Azerbaijan, with the strongest 5.5-magnitude earthquake in Zagatala in June. That earthquake was felt 6 points at the epicenter, and 3-4 points in the surrounding areas.
