The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) recorded an explosion on the opposite side of the Sun.

Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the footage released by NASA and the European Space Agency showed debris flying over the eastern edge of the Sun. Astrophysicists are working to determine the cause of the explosion. It is known that it did not occur as a result of the formation of sunspots.

A solar flare is a sudden flash of increased brightness on a star, usually observed near its surface and in close proximity to a sunspot group. Powerful eruptions are often, but not always, accompanied by a coronal mass ejection. Even the most powerful flares are barely detectable in the total solar irradiance.
