Office of Turkish Maarif Foundation to open in Azerbaijan

Chairman of the Turkish Maarif Foundation, Professor Birol Akgün, has arrived in Baku to initiate an Azerbaijani branch, Report informs, referring to TRT Avaz.

Akgün announced the opening of schools of the Turkish Maarif Foundation in Azerbaijan:

"We have a memorandum of understanding with Azerbaijan, which we have been working on for two years. We agreed today. We met with the Ministers of Education and Foreign Affairs. The document will be signed in the presence of Azerbaijani Education Minister Emin Amrullayev, who will arrive in Turkey. Then we will open an office here and start presenting the Turkish Maarif Foundation schools as soon as possible, completing the technical procedures," he said.

Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Chairman of the Turkish Maarif Foundation Birol Akgün today.
