Deputy Minister: More than 18,000 candidates wishing to become teachers have passed to the next stage 41 288 candidates have attended the exams on admission of teachers. 8,881 candidates (46%) have passed to a new stage this year, Deputy Education Minister Mahabbat Veliyeva said at a press conference on the results of the exam.

"41 288 candidates have attended the exams on admission of teachers. 8,881 candidates (46%) have passed to a new stage this year," Deputy Education Minister Mahabbat Veliyeva said  at a press conference on the results of the exam.

According to her, among the successful candidates, three people achieved the maximum result (60 points).

The Deputy Minister noted that this year 21 375 candidates participated in the exams for the first time, while 19 913 participated again: "Last year some of the candidates passed the exam in one subject, this year in another related subject. Most of the candidates who retake the exam achieved a result higher than last year."
