Mikayil Jabbarov: Number of high school enrollment doubled in comparison with 1990

Report informs, Azerbaijani Education Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at the 2nd Azerbaijani Science Festival.

The minister said that number of high school enrollment increased by over 2-fold compared to 1990: "Currently, 33 000 people are conducting scientific researches in the universities and research institutions across the country, 11874 of them are PhD, 2.495 Doctors of Science.

M.Jabbarov noted that role and importance of education and science in the modern world is beyond the scope of acquisition of new knowledge and its use in practice.

Speaking about importance of education system constantly being open to scientific innovations and discoveries, the minister added that it allows training of professional personnel and providing national economy with such staff.
