Geomagnetic storm expected in next two days

Baku. 30 November. REPORT.AZ/ The next geomagnetic storm on the Earth is expected on December 1 and 2, Report informs citing Deputy Director of Scientific Affairs at Shamakhi Astrophysics Observatory Elchin Babayev said.

According to him, the cause of the hurricane is the next big-size coronal hole formed on the surface of the sun:

"The high-rise solar plasma wind that takes its start from coronal hole will aggravate the magnetosphere and cause the G1 (MINOR) geomagnetic storm”.

Babayev added that geomagnetic storm will cause discomfort in people included in the risk group: “Discomfort will significantly increase."
