Baku. 2 June. REPORT.AZ/ French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) has announced student admission rules for the academic year 2017-2018.

Report informs, according to Mustafa Babanli, Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry (ASUOI), the applicants collecting 500 or more points on the exams of I specialty group held by the State Exam Center, will be able to take exams by the University of Strasbourg.

He said that registration in the university will be conducted according to the results of the competition, by a commission established at UFAZ: "Online registration will be held from June 12 until July 17, registration of participants of the second exam will be carried out on July 24-25 till 23:00. Exam will be held on July 27".

Rector added that admission plan for the next academic year consists of 160 seats: "120 students will study under state order, 40 on a paid basis. If vacant seats remain, we can create conditions for paid education of international students".

The French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Aurelia Bouchez noted that both international students and best students of ASUOI may educate at the university starting from next years.

She also added that 40 UFAZ students will be transferred to the University of Strasbourg in the near future.

Notably, 141 students won the right to study at UFAZ in 2016/2017 academic year.
