Foreign students from nearly 120 countries studied in Azerbaijan's higher education institutions during the 2025–2026 academic year, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Science and Education.

Among them were citizens of Türkiye, China, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Uganda, and Rwanda, as well as the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Latvia, and Lithuania. Students from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Colombia also studied at Azerbaijani universities.

Students from various countries around the world are also enrolling in Azerbaijan's higher education institutions for the new academic year.
