President Ilham Aliyev attends farewell ceremony for scientist Lotfi Zadeh - UPDATED

Baku. 29 September. REPORT.AZ/ A farewell ceremony is being held at Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) for world-renowned Azerbaijani scientist Lotfi Zadeh.

Report informs, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is attending the ceremony.

Report informs, his dead body was brought from Heydar mosque to the ANAS main building.

State and government officials, scientists and cultural figures, intellectuals, public figures and relatives of the deceased are attending the ceremony.

The late scientist will be buried in the First Alley of Honor.

Notably, Professor of the University of California, world-renowned Azerbaijani scientist, founder of fuzzy set theory and fuzzy logic, Lotfi Zadeh, was born on February 4, 1921 in Baku, and died at the age of 96 in the US state of California on September 6. His dead body was brought to Baku last night.
