Azerbaijani minister talks on regional education department in Eastern Zangazur

Azerbaijan’s Education Minister Emin Amrullayev has commented on the issue related to the activities of the regional education department of Eastern Zangazur.

Answering a question from Report, the minister noted that the place where the department will be located has not yet been determined.

“Eastern Zangazur is a very specific region. All the districts included in this region - Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli, Lachin and Kalbajar have been occupied for a long time. At present, demining operations are ongoing in the de-occupied territories, infrastructure is being created. For this reason, location of the regional department of education of Eastern Zangazur has not yet been determined.

Schools in these territories are under the jurisdiction of the relevant educational authorities. I hope that after the restoration work is completed, the Ministry of Education will decide on the place where the department will be located,” said Emin Amrullayev.

Currently, the duties of the head of the regional education department of this region are entrusted to Fuad Badalov. The heads of other 11 regional departments of education have already been presented to the staff.
