Minister: "The number of state-ordered places to be increased in universities"

Baku. 21 December. REPORT.AZ/ "In the 2019-2020 academic year, the number of state-ordered places in univetrsities will be increased significantly," Education Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said.

According to Report, speaking at the Second Congress of Azerbaijani Students.

He also noted that the "State Program on increasing the international competitiveness of the higher education system for 2019-2023", approved by the Presidential decree, will play an important role in raising the quality of higher education, enhancing bilateral diplomacy programs and preparing doctorate abroad.

The Minister recalled that 3,558 Azerbaijani young people were admitted to the most prestigious universities of the world within the framework of the "State Program on education of Azerbaijani Youth abroad in 2007-2015".

"More than 6,000 foreign students from 76 countries are currently studying at Azerbaijani universities."

He also added that the work will be carried out on the preparation of competent content on all levels of education, raising the international competitiveness of higher education, involvement of young people in scientific activities, bringing human resources in line with labor market requirements and the systematic organization of the propagation of Azerbaijani ideology in educational institutions.
