Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences celebrates ​70th anniversary - UPDATED

Baku. 9 November. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) held a general meeting dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Academy.

Report informs, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who attended the ceremony, delivered a speech at the meeting.

Then President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh, the Nobel Prize winner, Professor George Ficral Smoot, Dubne Nuclear Research Institute Academician Viktor Matveyev also made speeches at the event.

National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS) marks its 70th anniversary.

Report informs, the event is organized in the main building of the Academy.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is taking part in the anniversary ceremony.

Official representatives of state and government, academics, political leaders and university rectors are also attended the ceremony.
