Azerbaijan launches working group in regard with applying of 12-years education system

Baku. 26 January. REPORT.AZ/ "Applying of 12-years education system is not an easy process."

Report informs, it was stated by the Head of preschool and general education Department of the Ministry of Education Aydin Akhmedov at press conference held today.

Ministry official said, in world countries general education lasts for 12 years and more: "If we talks on integration into world education system, it's necessary to take some measures for the transition to 12-year education system in Azerbaijan. This issue has already been reflected in the state strategy."

According to him, applying of 12-years education system provides a radical change in curricula, basically, in publication of new textbooks: "In this regard, a working group of experts to be launched to expand educational programs."

According to the head of department, all training programs will be developed in line with the 12-year-old system of education: " It is too early to talk when we to apply such education system in the country."
