Weather forecast for February in Azerbaijan announced

Baku. 31 January. REPORT.AZ/ Weather forecast in Azerbaijan for February has been announced.

Report informs citing the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources that the average monthly temperature in February will be close and lower than the climate norm in some places.

Average monthly precipitation is also expected to be near the climate normal and slightly higher in some places. The weather is predicted to be rainy in the beginning of February.

In Baku and Absheron peninsula the average monthly temperature is expected to be +2 to +4 C (+1 to +6 C at nights, 0 degrees on some days, +8 to +13°C in the daytime, +2 to +4 C on some days) which is close to a climatic norm.

Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to normal (21-24 mm).

In Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the average monthly temperature is expected to range from 0 to - 3 C (-3 to -8 C at nights, -10 to -15 C degrees on some days, -15 to -20 C in the mountainous areas, +4 to +9 degrees of heat in the daytime, -2- +3 C on some days), which is close and slightly below the climate norm.

The average monthly precipitation will be close to the climate norm (11-29 mm).

In Upper Karabakh: Khankandi, Shusha, Khojaly, Khojavand, Gubadli, Zangilan, Lachin, Kalbajar, Dashkasan and Gadabay regions the average monthly temperature is expected to be 0 to -3 C (0 to -5 C at nights, -8 to -10 C on some days, +5 to +10 C in the daytime, -2 to +3 C on some days) which is close and slightly below the climate norm.

Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to normal (25-35 mm).

In Gazakh, Ganja, Goranboy, Tartar, Aghdam, Fizuli, Jabrail regions the average monthly temperature is expected to be 0 to  +3 C (+1 to +6 C at nights, 0 to 5 C on some days, +8 to +13 C in the daytime, +1 to +5 C on some days) which is close and slightly below the climate norm.

Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to normal (15-36 mm).

In Balakan, Zagatala, Gakh, Sheki, Oghuz, Gabala, Ismayilli, Agshu, Shamakhi, Khizi, Siyazan, Shabran, Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz regions the average monthly temperature is expected to be from 3 degrees of frost to 2 degrees of heat (-3 to +2 degrees of frost at night, -4 to -9 degrees on some days, -13 to -18 degrees of frost in high mountainous areas, +6 to +11 C in the daytime, from -3 C to +2 C on some days) which is close to climate norm.

Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to normal (24-55 mm).

In Central Lowlands: Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Goychay, Agdash, Kurdamir, Imishli, Agjabedi, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Bilasuvar, Saatli, Shirvan, Hajigabul, Salyan, Neftchala regions the average monthly temperature is expected to be +3 to +5 C (+1 to +6 C at nights, 0 to -4 degreeson some days, +8 to +13 C in the daytime, +1 to +5 C on some days) which is close to the climate norm.

Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to normal (21-35 mm).

In Masalli, Yardimli, Lerik, Lankaran, Astara regions the average monthly temperature is expected to be 0 to +4 C (+1 to +6 C at nights, 0 to 2 degrees on some days, -6 to -11 degrees of frost on the mountains, +8 to +13°C in the daytime, +1 to +5 C on some days) which is close to climate norm and slightly below. Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to normal (44-105 mm).
