Weather conditions to change sharply with torrential rain, hail, significant temperature drop expected in Azerbaijan - WARNING

Baku. 25 October. REPORT.AZ/ The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has issued warning about sharp change in weather conditions.

The National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources told Report that strong north-western wind will blow in Baku and Absheron peninsula on October 26-27. Intermittent rain is expected.

It is expected that in the morning of October 27 heavy rainfall will be observed in some parts of the peninsula. The temperature will drop by 10-12 degrees compared to the previous days.

The weather will change dramatically in Azerbaijani regions from October 26 till October 27 daytime. Temperature will drop by 10-12 degrees compared to the previous days. Intermittent rain is expected, in some places it will be intensive, hail is predicted. Snow may fall in mountainous areas. West wind will intensify at times in some places. Water level will increase in rivers; short-term floods are predicted in some mountain rivers.
