Snow-measuring works underway in highlands in Azerbaijan

Baku. 9 March. REPORT.AZ/ The experts of the National Hydrometeorology Department at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources organized an expedition for snow-measuring works in the Greater and Lesser Caucasus for the definition of snow and water reserves in the area of the country and estimation of water resources.

The Ministry's press service told Report that the expedition members are holding snow-measuring works in Ganjachay source in the Lesser Caucasus and on the foothills of the Goshgar mountain.

Notably, the expedition is organized in line with the paragraphs on studying the demand for irrigational water and improvement of its supply of the 'Strategic Roadmap on Production and Processing of Agricultural Resources in the Azerbaijan Republic' in line with Order No 2016 of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic.
