Report

Baku. 18 February. REPORT.AZ/ Weather will be unstable in Azerbaijan tomorrow, Umayra Taghiyeva, Director of the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, said.

According to her, rain, sleet and snow are expected in mountainous regions and foothills from February 18 to February 19, as a result of the cyclone coming from the Central Russia and cold weather fronts in the northern and eastern regions of the republic.

The department chief noted that this process, which begins with rainfall in Baku and Absheron peninsula, is expected to be accompanied by sleet on February 19: "On February 19, the temperature will be 2-3 degrees. North-west wind will blow at the speed 15-20 m / s, and strengthen up to 23-25 m/s."

Taghiyeva added that the process is short-term and rainfall in the morning will be gradually cut off on February 20.
