Results of monitoring at the beaches announced

The staff of the Department of the Caspian Integrated Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan conducted regular monitoring on the beaches from July 25 to August 1, took samples of sea water and conducted a microbiological analysis.

According to the analysis, in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, apart from Bilgah, Nardaran, Pirshagi, Zagulba Buzovna, Mardakan, beaches at Sumgait, Novkhani, Buzovna, Shuvalan, Turkan, Hovsan, Shikh, Sahil, Yalama in Khachmaz , Seyidlar, Istisu (former Mugtadir), Nabran, Lankaran and Astara unsuitable for use due to microbiological pollution: “Buzovna and Shuvalan beaches named among polluted beaches due to the discharge of waste and wastewater into the sea from recreation centers”.
