Number of bison announced in Azerbaijan

A large number of bison has been brought to Azerbaijan since 2019, Arzu Samadova, Deputy Chief of the Biodiversity Protection Service, said during the Expert Hour, Report informs.

"At present, there are 29 bison in the country," she said.

According to him, there were four cases of bison breeding.

"Nine bison were brought to the country by the end of last year, and they are now going through an adaptation period," she said.
