Within the framework of new green space projects, 55.0 hectares (ha) in Zangilan district, 11.0 ha in Aghdam district, and 38.0 ha in Jabrayil district have been established as new green areas, Kanan Karimli, head of a department at Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR), said during a meeting of the working group on ecological issues.

According to Karimli, work on establishing new green spaces continues in the territories of Jabrayil and Fuzuli districts.

It was reported that inspection work has been carried out at more than 170 locations to reassess the operational reserves of underground water deposits in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions.

Karimli said that monitoring and inspection work has been conducted at 142 mineral deposits, and the volume exploited during the occupation period has been determined:

"Currently, geological exploration work continues in the liberated territories for the search and evaluation of non-ferrous and precious metals."
