Azerbaijan to create industrial forests

It is planned to create industrial forests recently in Azerbaijan, said Aghaqardash Garashov, head of Forestry Development department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

Report informs that, according to him, fast-growing tree types will be used for this purpose, so trees could be cut for use in the development of wood processing industry. Garashov said that it is envisaged to carry out broad works in this field for using forestry for industrial purposes: “We recommend to the physical and legal entities and entrepreneurs to grow this kind of trees in their lands. We as the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources are open to all applications. We can give our recommendations and help to choose the right tree types. Meanwhile, open fields of forestry fund can be rent to the entrepreneurs for this purpose."
