"650,000 trees will be planted in Azerbaijan tomorrow."

"Soil preparation work in places is already complete, and seedlings have been imported," Spokesperson of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Irada Ibrahimova told journalists.

According to her, on the initiative of Azerbaijan's First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, a campaign to plant 650,000 trees is launched simultaneously in all regions of the country, on the occasion of the 650th anniversary of great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Imadaddin Nasimi.

Ibrahimova said that planting 650,000 trees will contribute to the further greening of our country, the absorption of carbon dioxide, preventing soil salinization and mitigating the effects of climate change, which is a global problem for humanity.
