Voter statistics revealed in Azerbaijan

The list of voters has been specified in Azerbaijan, Report informs citing Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov.

According to him, there are currently 5,212,902 voters in Azerbaijan with women making up 50.83% (2,649,641) and men constituting 49.17% (2,563,261).

Panahov noted that as compared with the previous year, this year the statistics of voters has increased by about 21,000 people: "And this year the oldest voter is a resident of the Barda district, 125-year-old Samarga Gulmammad gizi Allahverdiyeva, born in 1894."

The process of updating the list of voters started in January.
