Vahid Hajiyev: Implementation of projects in 5 directions possible in Eastern Zangazur & Karabakh

In Eastern Zangazur and Karabakh, it is possible to implement projects in 5 areas: mining, agriculture, logistics, tourism and green energy. Zangilan will make a huge contribution to the economy of Azerbaijan, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Zangilan district Vahid Hajiyev said at a meeting between representatives of the public and leading companies of the donor countries of the Karabakh Revival Fund in the Zangilan district, Report informs.

At the meeting, organized on the theme "Sustainable development and reintegration of the liberated territories", an exchange of views took place on the role of business in the process of reconstruction and construction of Karabakh, the development of cooperation between business, society and government agencies in this area.

Hajiyev noted that large-scale restoration and construction work is being carried out in the liberated territories, large infrastructure projects are being implemented: "One of these projects is the Zangilan International Airport, the grand opening of which was recently held with the participation of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkiye on the day Zangilan was liberated from occupation. This is a very large an event not only for Zangilan, but for the entire region.

As is known, within the "Great Return" project, 326 people have already been resettled in the village of Agali.The issues of their employment are being addressed.Currently, work is underway to accommodate small entrepreneurs in the village of Agali.In addition, the construction of four hydroelectric power stations continues on the territory of the Zangilan region.It is expected that the construction of the Horadiz-Agband railway will be completed by the end of next year."

Chairman of the Board of the Karabakh Revival Foundation Rahman Hajiyev informed the participants of the meeting about the main activities of the foundation, the work done and the planned projects.
