An international working group of well-known human rights scholars has been established at the initiative of the Law Faculty of Baku State University (BSU) and M.G. Consulting.

The purpose of the working group is to analyze the human rights violated as a result of the aggressive attacks on Azerbaijanis by Armenians in Los Angeles on July 21, 2020, based on international human rights instruments, as well as to prepare a fact-based report.
This scientific-analytical report will be sent to various embassies, international organizations, international human rights mechanisms, U.S. law enforcement agencies, and courts.

Notably, a large group of Armenians living in Los Angeles, California, attacked and injured a much smaller group of Azerbaijanis and Turks. They gathered to peacefully protest recent Armenian aggression in the border towns of Azerbaijan.

The incident took place in front of Azerbaijan's Consulate in the city, where thousands of Armenians verbally and physically assaulted some 70 Azerbaijanis and Turks across the street, despite tight security measures by the L.A. Police Department.
