Students to be required to have COVID-19 passport

All persons over the age of 18 studying at a university or vocational schools will be required to have a COVID-19 passport, said an amendment to the Cabinet of Ministers' decision "On measures to extend the special quarantine regime and remove some restrictions".

According to the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, under Article 25 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Sanitary and Epidemiological Safety," from September 1, 2021, during the special quarantine regime applied in the country:

At least 80% of the employees of the state bodies (institutions), as well as employees of a number of establishments (regardless of whether they work on a labor or civil contract must have a certificate of one dose of a vaccine against COVID-19 and from October 1, the second dose of the vaccine or a certificate of a COVID immunity. The same rules are applied to all scientific and educational facilities regardless of their form of property.
