Some states try to interfere in political processes in Azerbaijan - OPINION

"Currently, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has entered a new and sensitive stage. During this period, our victory in the Patriotic War must be further strengthened, stability, unity, and solidarity must be maintained, political reforms must be successfully continued, dialogue between political parties must be strengthened," MP Jeyhun Mammadov told Report.

According to him, at this stage, each person and the political party must fully understand the responsibility and work hard for the development of the country, strengthening statehood and strengthening independence:

"In recent years, our country has achieved some serious successes in dialogue with political parties. Analyzing the current situation in Azerbaijan, we can say that a new stage has been entered in the dialogue with the country's political parties. In this regard, establishing a department for relations with political parties and the legislature in the Presidential Administration is of particular importance. The department has managed to develop business relations with political parties operating in Azerbaijan in a short time. The department regularly holds meetings with political parties functioning in the country and discusses issues of concern to them."

Mammadov also noted that there are a number of important issues that need to be addressed:

"Dialogue with political parties is of special importance in maintaining unity and solidarity among the population, as well as the impact of external influences on the political and social processes in the country. At present, we still see attempts by several countries to interfere in the political process in Azerbaijan. They are waiting for favorable conditions to do so. But they will not be able to achieve this. Undoubtedly, over time, relations between political parties will become more intensive. The ongoing processes in our country, as well as in the region, make this intensity necessary. There is a strong will and moral position for this in Azerbaijan."
