Presidential decree on pardon covers 213 citizens

On May 27, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to pardon a number of convicted persons.

Report informs that according to the order, 213 prisoners were pardoned.

168 people sentenced to imprisonment were released from the unserved part of the punishment. The unserved part of the punishment of 36 people was reduced by half.

Three persons sentenced conditionally are released from punishment. Six people were released from the unserved part of the punishment in the form of restriction of freedom.
