The voting process continues without any violations, Parvana Kakavan, Chairperson of Precinct No. 3 of the Salyan-Bilasuvar-Neftchala Constituency, told Report.
According to Kakavan, since the beginning of voting, electors coming to the precinct freely vote for their preferred candidates: "A total of 993 voters are registered in the precinct, 12 of whom participate in the voting for the first time. Seven observers are monitoring the process."
The municipal elections in Azerbaijan are being held at 5,846 polling stations covering 118 electoral districts. In total, 16,092 candidates are competing for 8,071 seats in 685 municipalities.
The voting will run until 19:00 (GMT+4).
According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), 5,961,987 voters are eligible to participate in the elections.
January 29 has been declared a non-working day in Azerbaijan due to the elections.
