Precinct chair in Azerbaijan’s Minghachevir: No violations of law reported

A high voter turnout is observed, and no law violations have been reported during municipal elections, Ramila Mahmudova, the chairperson of polling station 42 of Azerbaijan's Yevlakh-Mingachevir electoral district 53, said in her statement to Report

"Our polling station was opened for voters at 08:00 am, and a high voter turnout has been observed since the early hours. Each eligible citizen votes according to their own will. No law violations have occurred up to now."

There are 57 polling stations operating in the Yevlakh-Mingachevir electoral district.

Voting will last until 07:00 pm local time (GMT+4).

The elections are being held in 5,846 polling stations covering 118 electoral districts across the country. Some 16,092 candidates are competing for 8,071 members of 685 municipalities.

According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), 5,961,987 citizens have the right to vote in municipal elections.
