Eldar Azizov: Since 2005, industrial production has grown by 4 times in Baku

Baku. 24 December. REPORT.AZ/ "AZN 12 billion has been invested in Baku in the last year," head of Baku Executive Power Eldar Azizov said speaking at a conference "Magnificent Creation: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" held in Baku.

According to Report, he noted that since 2005 industrial production has increased by 4 times in Baku, the number of cars has doubled to 663,000: "Entrepreneurship is developing in Baku as a result of the work carried out by President Ilham Aliyev. While there were 40 hotels in Baku for 2005, now this figure has increased by 4 times. Baku was in the top places for the number of 5-star hotels in the former Soviet Union."

He said that more than 2 million tourists visited Baku this year and this figure would increase: "Intensive construction works have been carried out for 15 years in Baku, and today the number of applications regarding construction works has increased. All these factors indicate the development of Baku."

Azizov stressed that according to the rating of international agencies, Baku is considered one of the five most memorable cities for tourists for architectural monuments. Today, parks built in Baku cover large areas, as well as mega parks are constructed. Our capital has become one of the world's cultural centers. Baku has never seen such a development in its history. All these works are based on Ilham Aliyev phenomenon. Our country and capital will achieve great success under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev."
