ICRC says there are Azerbaijani citizens in Syrian, Iraqi detention camps

There are Azerbaijani citizens in the detention camps in Syria and Iraq, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said at an event on the activities in 2021.

The ICRC representatives visit these people, get acquainted with their detention conditions, and create opportunities for them to contact their families. According to the information, most of those held there are men, but there are also women and children among them.
