Baku. 7 December. REPORT.AZ/ Gravestones in Azerbaijan are installed by relatives, legal representatives or other persons who pay for burial expenses.
Report informs that, according to the recently approved Cemetery Establishment and Management Guidelines, the religious affiliation of the deceased is taken into account when establishing graveyards by relatives, legal representatives or other persons who pay burial expenses.
The height of the gravestone should be not higher than 1 meters and width no more than 0.6 meters. The height of the ledger stone should be maximum 0.6 meters with a 0.25-meters height. The order should be followed when installing gravestones.
Tombstones change with the consent of the relatives of those buried according to the sequence of inheritance established in the Civil Code, if such consent is not reached, permission to change tombstones is not given.
