Enrique Mora: Azerbaijan important partner for EU

"Azerbaijan is an important partner for the European Union," Report informs that Enrique Mora, Deputy Secretary-General of the European External Action Service for Political Affairs, said this at a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

He stated that there are strong partnerships between Azerbaijan and the European Union, which cover the economy, technology and innovation, trade, energy, and other areas.

The European Union is interested in the stable, secure development of the region and is ready to support all steps in this direction.

E. Mora also noted that Azerbaijan is an important partner of the EU in the Eastern Partnership program and makes a great contribution to regional security and stability. He stressed that the EU's relations with our country, including cooperation in the transport sector, have great potential.

The deputy secretary-general noted the role of Azerbaijan in ensuring the energy security of Europe and, in particular, the importance of cooperation in the energy sector.
