‘Some people sometimes try to artificially increase the prices of agricultural products using different ways’, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov told journalists.
According to him, these have impact on increase of prices: ‘Impact of increase in salary and pensions on the market should be accepted. On the other hand, if salaries of employees in the state sector increase, the people working in the market provide their living by serving them. For increase in their living, certain growth will be felt in the prices of services’.
Ahmadov noted that these must be carried out on the principle of justice: ‘All efforts, which are intended to be made by the government, are based on these principles. Azerbaijani government contributes to meeting of every citizen’s demand for agricultural products by providing abundance of goods. This is one of the main reasons for reduction in the prices. Another reason is that the government should extend the ways to deliver the agricultural products to citizens. We are considering it. At the same time, providing services to different categories of population in accordance with their opportunities is one of the main directions of the market economy.
He stressed that today, there are agricultural products in Azerbaijan that are sold at high prices: ‘At the same time, there are products at medium and lower prices. So, all conditions for meeting the demand of every Azerbaijani citizen for agricultural products have been created’.
