Report/ Elchin Murad

Baku. 17 December. REPORT.AZ/ "After the restoration of Azerbaijan's independence, the Judicial-Legal Council of Democratic Society, a judicial system was established under the leadership of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, " Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Justice Azer Jafarov said.

Report informs that he spoke at the Second Eurasian Legal Congress in Baku.

The Deputy Minister noted that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev this process was further deepened and the judicial system was upgraded to international standards.

Jafarov stressed that international organizations sometimes do not take into account the principles of international law, justice not always prevail in restoration of violated human rights until the end, also application of double standards can be seen: “For instance, although the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from our lands is explicitly required in the resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council on the occupation of 20% of the territory of Azerbaijan by Armenia, the occupant is not compelled to carry it out. Similar documents were also adopted by the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights, the European Union and other international organizations".
