Chingiz Asgarov: War crimes are violations of human rights

“When we talk about war crimes, we must say it is a violation of human rights,” said the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court, Chingiz Asgarov, at a seminar on war crimes against Azerbaijan.

He said that the European Court of Human Rights investigates violations of the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights:

“A large part of the territory of Azerbaijan was under the occupation of Armenia. Based on the provisions of the European Human Rights Convention, it became known that Armenia violated the rights of Azerbaijani citizens.”
