CEC unveils preliminary results of municipal elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has unveiled preliminary results of municipal elections held on December 23.

Report informs that the results are available on the website of the CEC Election Information Center (infocenter.gov.az).

Notably, 5049 polling stations across the country saw municipal elections. 156,156 members were elected to 1,606 municipalities. Thirteen political parties participated in the polls, with 41,462 candidates registered. The voter list included the names of 4,972,356 eligible voters. Voter turnout at polling stations was 32.72% on December 23. So far, 1,627,064 out of 4,972,356 eligible voters have cast their ballots.
